There is a pill called Diflucan, that cures vaginal yeast infections in one dose. Since thrush is an overgrowth of yeast in the mouth, I wonder if it could cure it too.
Your doc is correct. The only way to cure it is with what he gave you or the swish and swallow stuff.

Yes, you can also get systemic antifungal medication, including Diflucan, Nystatin, etc. This should be an option if the other stuff won’t work for you, but you need a prescription for it… so you really have to go back to your doctor and ask about this anyways!
Go back to the doctor, get some real medicine for it …..If not it can come right back if u do get it to go away by itself.
