What is a normal vaginal discharge?
I was just wondering if it was normal to have a white creamy lotion like discharge with no odor? I sometimes have it and its heavy than sometimes its clear and barely any. I dont know whats normal. Also, I have been for pap tests and STD testing but the doctors said everything looked normal and my STD testing came back fine. Sometimes though i feel tender inside like if i have sex it feels alittle sore inside but not very sore and i never bleed. could that be normal?
Yes, vaginal discharge is normal for us women because it’s a way that our private part cleans itself. Don’t worry if your tests turned out okay then there’s nothing to worry about. If you want to keep your undies clean then get some pantyliner and you’ll be feeling fresh! Good luck! =)
Having some amount of vaginal discharge in women who have attained menstruating age, is normal
Vaginal discharge refers to secretions from the vagina. Such discharge can vary in:
•Consistency (thick, pasty, thin)
•Color (clear, cloudy)
•Smell (normal, odorless, bad odor)
Having some amount of vaginal discharge is normal, especially if you are of childbearing age. Glands in the cervix produce a clear mucus. These secretions may turn white or yellow when exposed to the air. These are normal variations.
The amount of mucus produced by the cervical glands varies throughout the menstrual cycle. This is normal and depends on the amount of estrogen circulating in your body.
Vaginal discharge that suddenly differs in color, odor, or consistency, or significantly increases or decreases in amount, may indicate an underlying problem like an infection. From what you have explained your discharge also appear to be normal and there is nothing to get worried. Best wishes-
