Firstly, when you say that she has a vaginal infection, what infection does she have? Has this been diagnosed by a physician or are you assuming that is what it is?

If she has been diagnosed by a doctor, that doctor will issue her with the medication she needs to treat it. As long as the doctor was aware that she is pregnant, he or she will issue medication safe for use during pregnancy.

There are lots of different vaginal infections and bacteria, and it is not advisable to just try products for different infections, just in case that will help. This is especially not advisable during pregnancy, and is especially dangerous in the first trimester..

You should not use any over the counter medication that has not been verified as safe for pregnant women without consulting your doctor first. I would suggest your wife get a professional medical opinion, as the infection may be a symptom of something greater, and she can then be given medication that is both effective and safe.
