Thick white discharge looks like yeast but no itch no smell??
I was showering this morning and i noticed this thick white discharge that looks like yeast, but theres no itch and no smell, like with a yeast infection. im 38 weeks pregnant with my second. Nothing likethis happened with the first.
Gonna bring it up to my OB at my visit today but does anyone have any idea what it could be.
I dont think its a yeast infection and i though a mucus plug was clear.

Sounds like part of your mucous plug…means labor is near get your bags packed.

I have the same thing. I had it all through my first pregnancy and I’ve had it all through this one so far (I’m almost 13 weeks). I’m pretty sure it is normal.
And Jenny McCarthy even joked about it in her Belly Laughs book saying that that stuff could “eat through your underwear”.
just one of those gross things they dont tell you about pregnancy. i had it and the ob/gyn said it was normal
probably your mucus plug, each pregnancy is different.
Lots of discharge is normal at any time in pregnancy.
If it looks like a yeast infection then I don’t think it is your mucus plug. Sometimes in pregnancy you can get weird discharge. I would bring it up with your doctor but I would bet that it is nothing serious. When I lost my mucus plugs (I have three children) it actually looked like mucus. That is why I say I don’t think that it is your mucus plug.
I think this is one of the wonderful pleasures of pregnancy! lol I have had it off and on also through out this pregnancy

When I was preg. with my second child. I too was in the shower and was washing, and a bunch of that stuff came out too, I didn’t have an itch or smell or anything. And all it was, was a yeast infection. I was surprised. I hadn’t ever had any other yeast infections. I got treated, and me and the baby were fine. I guess some women can get them with no itching. It could also be part of your mucus plug. It’s hard to say. Just ask your doc. I am interested to know now if that happens to alot of women. Having a yeast infection and not even knowing it. It could just be discharge. My doc told me to expect more discharge in the last trimester.
Wear a pantyliner and see if that helps.
Sound like you are loosing your mucous plug. I have a 18 month old little girl and at about 38-39 weeks I had the same symptoms quite a bit of white kind of jelly like discharge. It means you are progressing closer to delivery… some women dont loose it at all some loose it in phases. Mine was like alot one morning and then progressivley less for another few days and then all of a suuden alot more at one time. I went into labor exaclty one week after loosing the plug or membrane. I think its genetic check with your Mom and see if she remebers loosing hers with you and how long after did she go into labor. Good luck on your delivery
