Was it wrong to take a thrush tablet?

I’ve been getting brown, sticky, odourless discharge from my vagina for about 2 weeks now. I spoke to a pharmacist today and she told me to buy an oral tablet for thrush. I swallowed it but it hasnt really made a difference. Should I not have taken it?
Anyone know about Ketoconazole? How do you take it?
