No , my daughter swallowed some and it did not hurt her at all. I contacted my pedeatrician and he confirmed this.
no, its not harmful and my daughter swolloed the nystatin all the time its inevitable, and nothing came with it, no one told me it was harmful and it dosent say it on the bottle, if it was harmful then it would most definately say something about it in the leaflet or on the bottle itself, so dont worry about it
No, my daughters both took Nystatin, and any medicine that is applied to the inside of the mouth will eventually make it’s way down the throat. If it was harmful to swallow in these small doses, they wouldn’t tell you to apply it to the mouth area. wouldn’t worry about it, and the warning is probably just in case of accidental overdose (as in swallowing the whole bottle), which they legally have to disclose.
my daughter had thrush at 6 months of age. they prescribed her medicine in the mouth, it cleared up in no time.
