Well, it certainly sounds like you have rosacea. Facial redness, broken capillaries, and flushing match perfectly with the initial forms of rosacea. Yes, ketoconazole shampoo is an anti-fungal, but it’s not going to help with facial redness caused by broken capillaries (frequently called telangiectasia — a common symptom of rosacea), since those and flushing aren’t caused by a fungal infection.
Nothing “permanently” rids of face of broken capillaries or flushing, short of something like PDL (pulse dye laser) treatments, and even this usually only provides long-term relief (not a total cure). A cream called Finacea (15% azelaic acid) can help to reduce redness and flushing; it acts as an anti-inflammatory.
You don’t have to have *all* the symptoms of rosacea to actually have rosacea — just because you don’t have the papules, doesn’t mean you don’t have it. Rosacea will worsen and progress with time if untreated. There are different stages to rosacea; you are just in the initial stages.
