If you do contract thrush while on an antibiotic regimen, there is a special mouthwash that we prescribe for this. It is very effective. Please ask your healthcare provider about this.

The reason we get thrush is because antibiotics cannot tell the difference between good and bad bacteria. We have plenty of good bacteria in our mouths but whem antibiotics come in…it disrupts the normal bacteria…Yogurt can help restore the good bacteria. Make sure you buy the one labeled as having active cultures or live cultures. This should help.

Eat lots of yogurt with "Live & Active Cultures" to help maintain normal bacteria and yeast that naturally occurs. The probiotic "L. acidolphus" is the main one that will prevent a yeast infection, thrush, etc. Make sure the yogurt you are eating has this in it. it will say on the side of the container if it contains it.
If you cannot do the yogurt thing, they do sell L. acidolphus supplements.
    Good Luck
