Is the below description an yeast infection, or a BV??
- sometimes lots of discharge comes out, and it hangs out of my vagina
-sometimes its white, sometimes yellow
-it has odour (fishy)
-sometimes its thick, sometimes its milky
also, its not itchy, but the vaginal area seems somewhat swollen
It sounds like you are just ovulating, like going through a period where the ovarie releases an egg to either come out as a period or be fertalized by sperm. Unless it starts itching and bohtering you, you should be fine.
By your symptoms I’d say BV.
Yeast infections usually have no smell to them. Plus, they often cause terrible itching, and burning.
PS. I’m not a doctor. You should probably go see one.
you should go see your doctor.
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the name of a condition in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning.Women with BV may have an abnormal vaginal discharge with an unpleasant odor. Some women report a strong fish-like odor, especially after intercourse. Discharge, if present, is usually white or gray; it can be thin. Women with BV may also have burning during urination or itching around the outside of the vagina, or both. However, most women with BV report no signs or symptoms at all.
Yeast infections feel like an intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva. this itching is not always present, but can get really bad, so bad you can hardly walk, let alone ride your bike to the pharmacy or doctor to get it treated. looks like clumpy nasty white stuff. most medical descriptions compare the discharge to ricotta cheese, but it can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear.
smells like bread or beer. in fact, it smells pretty much exactly like yeast, although the yeast used in brewing and baking is an entirely different species (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). no bacteria could smell like that, so it’s a great diagnostic.
It sounds like Gardnerella and a yeast infection, do a google search on Gardnerella and compare your symptoms, Good Luck!
Sounds like bv 2 me. I had a bv infection b4 and those were my symtoms. With a yeast infecton the discharge is usually thick and dark yellow
