Registered Nurse here; Hun it doesn’t have to be Greek yogurt, any yogurt works. What it does is replace the normal flora in the body, so that thrush or yeast infection cannot reproduce. Also buttermilk, a couple of 6oz glasses a day will help. Both yogurt and buttermilk, have live active good bacteria cultures in them. I promise Greek, or Borden, etc. Doesn’t matter all do the same.
Thanks for the opportunity to address such a meaningful question.

Go to the doc and get a pill. It is a one dose pill and gets rid of it in about 24 hours.

it doesnt have to be greek yogurt, any kind of plain yogurt will do. If you have thrush or your child has thrush the doctor can prescribe nystatin which doesnt taste as bad and works more quickly.

Any yogurt, not JUST Greek, with active cultures is good for thrush. Thrush is a fungus, and therefore cannot thrive in an acidic habitat. "Acidophillus" is an acidic enzyme that is in most yogurt products. You just have to make sure it’s on the label.

If you are not a big fan of yogurt, you can also buy acidophillus pills in the vitamin aisle.
