im 17 years old- and im NOT sexually active. for the past few days i’ve had some really bad itching in my vagina. its now red and swollen from itching so much. i’ve researched yeast infections and thrush, and im not sure if i have either. i haven’t had any noticable odors or ‘cottage cheese’ like discharge- it’s just really itchy (and no- not from shaving).
i want to ask my mom if she can get me vagisil, but im scared. i don’t want her thinking that i’m having sex or anything like that, because this literally came out of nowhere. one day im fine, the next im itching like crazy.
anyway… is vagisil a good choice for me? if it okay to use if i don’t know what i have? and what’s the best way to tell my mom? has anyone gone though something like this? help me… i need advice. :/
