    It is possible but a very unusual occurrence. If an otherwise well person develops oral thrush, that person should checked for HIV. If you have HIV or other known reasons to be immunocompromised then this is a common problem. Typically oral anti-fungal mouthwash is Rx’d to treat the problem.

    They might have made you more vulnerable to it – well, I get non-oral thrush after antibiotics. At least I used to, before I discovered that a) cutting sugar right out, and b) taking yoghurt pills seemed to counteract the effect.
