The last couple of times that I have been prescribed strong antibiotics I have developed thrush and I’m just wondering if there is any way of preventing this from happening? I’ve just finished a course of antibiotics that I have been prescribed for tonsillitis and I can feel the thrush coming on. Any tips would be much appreciated!
Thrush Archives
Lately I had been taking antibiotics and I was almost certain that I have gotten thrush because of it. However, in the past few days the symptoms have gone away. Do I still need to treat it? I heard that thrush doesn’t go away without treatment, but it seems to be gone.
I seem to have oral thrush. It’s not on the sides of my mouth as far as I can tell but my tongue seems to gets coated in white pretty badly. I am pretty worried about it. Is it hard to treat it? And is it ever uncurable?
Thanks
I have white coating on my tongue and a feeling that something is stuck on the back of my tongue/throat. Could this be thrush?
I came down with oral thrush as a result of a medication I am on that lowers the immune system. I started taking clortrimazole about 30 hrs ago, every 5 hrs. Should I be feeling/seeing improvement by now? I am miserable and hungry. The pain is absolutely unbearable.
P.s: Yes, I have been to the doctor already. That’s how I got the Rx.
My son is suffering from thrush (down there) and we have female thrush capsules are they safe?

Been taking the pill for about two months – to be honest, incorrectly, been running packs back to back. Not a regular MD user but I’ve taken it a few times this week. I’m not in any ‘risk category’ for getting oral thrush; any ideas if either of these might have caused it?
My horse gets lamintitis really easy as she was injured the first year we had her. No I have been fighting with thrush. I pick her feet out each day and make sure there is no debris in the hooves. I fed her and picked out her hooves and they were really white and they smelled horrible. I am going to call the farrier and ask but i wanted others help first. What do I do to battle this during the winter?? any tips or tricks?
I was having a slight thrush infection for several month. After using gentian violet for a week, my tongue got clean but now i discovered the yeast migrated to the extreme bottom of my tongue where is creating small red pimples. That is an area that is impossible to reach with the gentian violet or any other product… How can i end that problem once and for all? Thank you.
