I went to the doctor because I have this bad fungus on my toe nail, I expected to get pills for this like lamisil or diflucan I have known people to use these pills but my doctor prescribed me something called Penlac it’s like a nail polish that I brush on every day. Does anyone know how long this will take to take effect? And or does anyone know any home remedies for this

i have discharge, for a really long time though. 1 year 6 – 7 month
i think. it sometimes itches but not like everyday maybe once or twice a week? and also it is kind of clear milky white and it smells slightly. i haven’t had my period yet. the itchings never really bothered me, i just change underwear and wipe once.
is this a yeast infection??

OK so lately ive been realy ichy down there and theres been an odor coming from down there. Also before I took a shower (like 5 minustes ago), there was kinda crusty white stuff around down there. It doesnt hurt to pee. I am sexually active. And i’ve had a yeast infection when I was a baby. If this is a yeast infection, how do I tell my mom? I’ve never talked to my mom about stuff like this, so it will be awkward no doubt. How do ladies even get yeast infections. Can sex cause it.. i dont want my mom knowing i’ve had sex (only with my boyfriend, who doesnt have a yesat infection..yes im sure). Thanks to everyone with good answers.

O i forgot to mention, its not neccessesarely discharge, but like my underwears white right and when i kinda rub down there to ich it, my underwear will b yellowish…

O and its not ichy all the time.. for some reason its only ichy wen i come home..and ive shaved down there .. like wen u stand,…the bottum there..ive shaved..and it was two days ago i did so… so good it just b irrated down there?

I recently switched from using soap on my vagina to just rinsing with water. I’ve notice a huge difference in smell and consistency. Im happier and feel cleaner but I still have a slight smell. I know every vagina has a smell to it but its a little stronger than “just a smell” I saw that some women use yogurt to get rid of yeast infections. I don’t have a yeast infection but I wanted to ask if I try yogurt on a tampon and leave it in for an hour will this help the smell or make it worst by not having an infection?

Also It may be the foods I eat that could be causing the slight smell what foods to stay away from?
My vagina doesn’t smell fishy though, it just has a stinky smell

I took it the last 2 weeks of my birthcontrol. And I was just wondering if i deffinately (sp) Would have ovulated since it said it makes birthcontrol ineffective? I would love to be pregnant! Hubby & i were going to start trying this month for a second. So i’m no longer taking my birthcontrol but I’m feeling nausious and mooooody and tired. I did have a VERY light period. That lasted about 4 days but i never one time filled up a regular sized tampon. And I even left it in for way longer than 8 hours sometimes. So I know you cant tell me if im pregnant or if i ovulated im just asking if anyone thinks it would be possible. The Diflucan said it makes bc inactive for 2 weeks. It was one pill that i took. And it said that one pill stayed in my system for 2 weeks. Also, would it be too early to test? I Would have taken the Diflucan a little less than a month ago. Thanks!

So for about 2 months now, on and off, usually for a week at a time, I have had some strange vaginal symptoms. The most noticeable is more then usual discharge. Not necessarily thicker or discolored but just more. Occasionally, it has been ever so slightly discolored. The second most noticeable is a funky odor. Almost smelling like rust or kind of a sour smell. And very rarely, probably only one of the weeks this was happening, I had some itching. Though I believe the itching was more caused by the over wetness and not being able to get rid of it before having to walk around or do work. I can’t afford to go to the doctor so that is out. I don’t wash with any feminine products, haven’t had sex recently, don’t use any scented tampons, cotton underwear only and of course wipe from front to back. Any idea if this is a yeast infection? If so, do over the counter treatments work and are they safe? What about probiotics? I read acidophilus can cause bad diarrhea? True? Thanks!

I have a yeast infection and this is my second day of using the meds for it. I keep having a yellow discharge come out and im wondering if its the yeast coming out. It has a slight smell.
I also started my period yesterday on my first day of treatment. I am wondering if that is coincidence or if the medicine made it come. My period is very light because its the first one and there is more yellow discharge then blood. Blood comes out every few hours.
