I have never had a yeast infection before, unfortunately i was prescribed some antibiotics for a urinary tract infection, and the side effect was lo and behold…a yeast infection! I was given fluconazole by my doctor, but the itching that accompanies a yeast infection along with the nasty looking white, thick discharge has taken a while to dissipate. It is now, the fourth day since i took the fluconazole and my symptoms barely seem to be improving…so, i was wondering if normally fluconazole takes a while before it begins clearing up the uncomfortable symptoms that come with a yeast infection. I’ve read information on this, and the majority states that it DOES indeed take about 3-5 days to start making some serious improvements…is this really the case?

My 7 month old lil girl seems to have an allergy to something. she has already been to the dr. several times for this matter. she has exzcema and I’ve been treating it with hydracortisone cream. She was throwing up also, so the dr. now has her on two medications for that for the n ext month. I also am washing her scalp once a day with a ketoconazole shampoo, but that is not helping whatsoever. the skin on her scalp and forehead is very dry and scaly/flaky, and she has several scabs all over hear head (tiny ones) from her scratching herself mostly at night in bed. Im keeping her nails trimmed, etc. but she still gets herself. her eyes also periodically bother her and she itches those also.
she is pretty much down to only eating formula right now as I try to figure out what the allergy is. the dr. was insistent that it was a food allergy, but the skin thing, especially her eyes and scalp, im not so sure of.
has anyone else experienced any of this with their baby? how do
i help her with this? id really like to see her head clear up, and her eyes not bother her. she seems so miserable at times and i feel helpless. any advice is much appreciated, thank you.
she only has the scaly skin on her scalp/head. the rest of the exzcema is tiny red dots.
also, she is on similac alimentum formula which is non allergenic and shes been on it for months w/out any of these problems.
new momma i agree that it is hereditary, i also have ezcema.

it is bright red could this be caused by the thrush?

My partner and i have kept having sex even though lately, my vagina has been sore from it. (Feels like slight splitting of the skin?)

Lately he said he feels his foreskin has been splitting and we both have itchy genitals.

Does this sound like thrush? Is thrush contageous? What else could it be?

I also have slight excess discharge that looks like cottage cheese. Eeek!!

Sorry for being so descriptive, but if anyone can help that would be great. Thankyou!

my lips dry easily and i get white slime at the corners of my mouth.
who can help me diagnois it: an allergist or a dermatologists?

i’ve been told that one bath can give you a yeast infection. i haven’t took a bath for over a year ( i’ve been showering) but i do want to take one. will i get a yeast infection from that one time?

I have a feeling I am pregnant. I know a feeling? Basically I have been sick since my period. My period was extra lite. kinda just spotty. It has been two weeks since my period. I took a pregnancy test right before my period cause I was a little late and it came back negative. So I am waiting till next period before I get my hopes up. But today I have this cottage cheese white discharge. It doesn’t smell or anything, it is kinda nice since I have been extremely wet for the last two weeks. What is this supposed to mean?

For the past five-six days, i’ve been having major discomfort. I’ve been to the doctors twice within the past week and a half and I was prescribed a medication for a yeast infection the first time, but nothing cleared up, so i went back. This time she just checked and told me i looked fine, but gave me a Ketoconazole cream. She thinks my swelling and discomfort is from recently using dryer sheets since i’ve never used them before and possibly a change of soap. I recently bought dove unscented bar soap and stopped using dryer sheets. However, today I realized that I started swelling up again and am still very sensitive with my clit. It also does sometimes hurt when i urinate, but the doctor told me i didn’t have a uti, when my pee test came back normal. I’m all stressed out and I just want it to go away. I’m even late for my period, which hardly ever happens.
Also, I haven’t had sex in two years. And i’m also 18 years old, so I have no idea why this is happening to me.

is it better not to?
i’d changer my underwear streight away
